Nippon Express USA, Inc. announced it's accquisition of Associated Global Systems, Inc.
NEW YORK, MARCH 28, 2012 - Nippon Express USA, Inc. announced today that it completed its acquisition of Associated Global Systems, Inc., a leading global logistics service company based in New Hyde Park, New York. The move will strengthen Nippon Express’ presence in the U.S. under an ongoing plan for global expansion.
AGS has been serving customers, providing logistics service since 1958. With over 75 U.S. locations and a worldwide network of overseas partners, managed by a nationwide staff of transportation experts, the company handles shipping and freight logistics for shipments of any size, to or from every zip code in the U.S. and Canada and in 205 countries around the world.
AGS will become a consolidated subsidiary of Nippon Express USA, Inc. itself a subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd., a leading global logistics service provider in Japan and globally. The impact of the transaction on Nippon Express Co., Ltd. consolidated earnings is expected to be non-material.
