Global Systems (AGS) appoints Bernard Quandt as Director of International Sales and Service
New Hyde Park, NY (July 2009) – Associated Global Systems (AGS) is pleased to announce that Bernard Quandt has joined the company in the position of Director of International Sales and Service.
Quandt began his career in transportation in 1993 with the startup of a Vanguard Logistics, a JFK based international freight forwarding and customs brokerage service. There he was responsible for operations and sales and in the first few months achieved one million in new business and year over year growth of 20 %. In 1996 he became an exclusive agency for Cargo Inc. Over the next 5 years he grew the business and expanded an overseas agent network along with several satellite offices in the US. In 2003, Quandt started up the Seko franchise at JFK and over the next three years grew the business to 13 million dollars from his direct sales efforts.
For the past two years he was with Unishippers Corporation in the position of Regional Sales Manager, training and developing a strong sales force.
As Director, he will be responsible for the entire sales and service function of international products. He will market air, ocean, import and export services and jointly with the corporate staff develop strategic alliances with overseas partners.
Quandt has a degree in International Business Management from Syracuse University.
