Some Proof We Did Whatever It Takes
AGS Meets Delivery and Budget Needs
of Major Automobile Manufacturer.

This customer operates four regional parts distribution centers located in California, Texas, Georgia, and New Jersey.

The Problem:
Critical orders that had been flown into LAX airport required same day recovery from the international carrier and container freight station and second day delivery by noon to Texas, Georgia and New Jersey, with same day delivery to California. The customer hadn’t been able to find a carrier that could consistently meet its service requirements and operate with pricing levels within their budget.

The Solution:
AGS assigned a customer service coordinator at the LAX station to call the airline, customs broker and Container Freight Station (CFS) location to determine status of each incoming order, and then dispatch an exclusive AGS vehicle to effect the recovery. AGS developed an air and ground routings combination for different days of the week. At the three destinations, route driver delivery schedules were rearranged to insure before noon delivery without any extra charges for the customer.

The Result:
This AGS program was an immediate success. Over the years, we’ve expanded our business with the customer to include critical parts distribution to Hawaii and directly to individual dealers whenever required.
