Associated Global Systems Announces New Method
For Calculating Fuel Surcharge.
New Hyde Park, NY, December 3, 2001
On January 7, 2002, AGS will implement a revised method for
calculating fuel surcharges for domestic air and ground shipments.
The new method is based on the price of diesel fuel in dollars per
gallon published weekly by the Department of Energy, www.eia.doc.gov.
This new method more closely links fuel surcharge to prevailing
market prices. AGS will calculate the two month average and apply
the updated fuel surcharge in the first week of the month. The fuel
surcharge amount for each shipment will be printed on the AGS invoice.
