Associated Global Systems Extends its Recovery & Return Program To e-Commerce Retailers and B2B Marketers
NEW HYDE PARK, NY March 7, 2000
Associated Global Systems (AGS), has expanded its innovative Recovery & Return Program to accommodate the nationwide needs of on-line marketers, both e-tailers and those serving business customers.
The AGS Recovery & Return Program was created in 1980 to meet the needs of customers who required an automated central system for retrieving their equipment from customers sites efficiently and economically. In the years since, many additional functions have been added to the program, such as deinstallation, swapouts, recycling and packing of unboxed equipment, along with information technology enhancements that include web site tracking by RMA and serial number.
The Recovery & Return Program is geared to coordinate the complete return process for companies of every type, smoothly and at the lowest cost. Among the available features are call center management, on-site repacking, in transit inventory control and web site management reports.
Scheduling is flexible; while most return pickups from B2B customers can be made during regular business hours. AGS can arrange evening and Saturday residential pickups when necessary. There are no limitations on size or weight or shipments; 2-4 man pickup teams are available as needed.
The program offers a variety of time definite transportation options, ranging from Same Day and Overnight to Second Day, Three Day and Deferred. Return shipments can be consolidated, and can be routed to the customer's plant, his distribution center, or the original supplier, based on individual circumstances.
The adaptation of Associated Global Systems Recovery Return Program to e-commerce comes a few months after the announcement of AGS e-commerce Heavyweight Freight Services and its subsequent expansion into seven major European markets.
Comments Norman Freeman, AGS founder/president: AGS has years of intensive experience in many different areas of transportation and logistics. Unlike the giant integrators, we have the flexibility to adapt some of our most innovative programs to the evolving back-end needs of customers, both industrial and e-commerce, quickly and thoroughly.
